Sunday Mornings:
1) When you arrive:
Our friendly greeters will help you to feel welcome and find your way around!
2) Our main service begins at 10:00am
At our main service (10:00am) - we spend about 45 minutes on what we call "Church Family time" where we sing some traditional hymns, have a few updates about what's going on around the church, and take time to pray for our missionaries or other outreach efforts. Sometimes there's a baby dedication, or all-church prayer for a someone in a deep trial, or even a baptism. Often someone will share some special music. What happens in this first time can vary a lot, depending on what's going on in the church family. After that, there's a 15 minute intermission, and then the focus of our service is on solid Bible preaching (the sermon is about an hour of teaching!) We're usually all done with our Sunday service by 12:15. We love to give all our first time guests some small gifts (a book and a coffee mug) - but we promise not to embarrass you. We give our guests these gifts with as little fanfare as possible.
3) The Focus of the Service is Bible teaching
After the intermission, we'll usually sing three hymns, have our Scripture reading for the service, and then one of our pastors will bring a Bible message that's designed to be both practical and challenging. We believe that the teaching of the Bible is the key to spiritual growth - so these messages are usually about an hour long. You can get a feel for what they're like by listening to one of our live-streams!
4) Light Lunch and Fellowship
The service is over by 12:15, and then everyone is invited to stay for a wonderfully prepared light lunch. We have well trained teams that prepare and serve these meals each week. You don't have to stay - but you're always invited! This is a great chance to make friends and build deeper friendships each week.
